It’s Independence Day

The 4th of the July in the Fryc house was pretty low key this year. Mom, dad and I had our own little mini BBQ. Dad used his brand spanking new smoker to cook ribs and chicken breasts. It was all very delicious and worth the 9 hours it took to cook.

Dad got some organic BBQ sauce (sweetened with agave nectar) and some of his favorite Emeril rubs to flavor the meat.

Mmm…chicken, a baked sweet potato, and green beans.
